Why Run with Push America and why the Marine Corps Marathon?

With this goal, we are going to pull out all the stops to ensure that this is an incredible experience for you and your family. We have booked rooms at a hotel near the start and finish lines. We have partnered with a local organization that serves people with disabilities for a Friendship Visit and pasta party the night before the run. You will be giving a grant to an organization that serves our soldiers that are wounded in combat. We have a list of enticing incentives to help offset the costs of participating in a destination marathon. We have purchased a tent right at the finish line, so no fighting 30,000 other runners to find family, food and post-race refreshments!

We want to make sure you're prepared to run 26.2. Chances are we know someone in your area that is a runner with whom you can train. Push America is paying for your registration costs and give you dry-fit PAC shirt to train in. Through the Marine Corps Marathon and Active.com, you will have access to Jeff Galloway's world class training methods. If the Galloway plan isn't your style, Push America can help personalize one for you or your schedule.

We also want to ensure your success while you fundraise. You will have access to Push America online fundraising system with your own PURL (Personal URL). Gone are the days of letter writing, collecting checks and shuffling papers. Type out a quick e-mail, add your personalized Web page and you're in business. Each donor will receive an e-mail thanking them for their gift and acknowledgment for tax purposes.
