Lazy day inMissoula

Lazy day in Missoula
Date : June 17th 2009
Day 14
Miles: 0
Destination: Missoula, MT

Today was amazing. After a long couple days of riding the team got a day off in Missoula Montana. Not only was today a day off the bike, but a day comprised almost entirely of free time. It was a very nice and necessary break from the normal hectic schedule we keep.

First we got to sleep in until whenever we wanted!! Then many of us took advantage of the day off to do laundry and take advantage of the free Wi-Fi at the Laundromat. Others took their bikes to the bike shops in town, and the rest walked the streets of Missoula just taking in the sites. Later in the afternoon some of the team went and saw a movie on the mild rainy day.

Around 6 o’clock we headed off to a local park and were provided a fantastic dinner from a local Pi Alpha from the University of Washington, Harley Brotherton

After dinner and a short team meeting, we were entertained by an ice cream eating contest. Eric could not finish the full super nova from Big Dippers. The giant portion included 6 scoops of ice cream, 2 brownies and 6 toppings, no easy feat.

Tonight we rest up and get ready for another ride; until another day.
