Have you ever wanted to do more with your summer? Ever wanted to break free from the typical internship? Ever wanted to give to a cause that is greater than you? Ever wanted to change people’s lives? Ever wanted to build something that will last forever? Build America is the program for you!

Started in 2003 as a construction-based summer event in the image of Give-A-Push Weekends and Push Camps, Build America has grown to become a signature event for Push America. Embedded into the heart of Build America are the values that have made Push America flourish for over 30 years; abilities, teamwork, empathy, and integrity. You will leave tangible objects at each camp, but the one thing that cannot be measured are the bonds made with campers and your feeling of joy from knowing that you made a difference.

During Build America, you are given the opportunity to interact with people with disabilities and in doing so you will make their summer camp experience that much more special. You will construct accessible amenities that will be used for years to come and provide them with a summer of fun and memories. Along the way you will realize that the man you were before the summer is not the man you see in the mirror at the end. Build America will make you grow as an individual, but you will have the most amazing summer of your life during the process.

Twenty-five men. Forty-seven days. Six camps. One team. Build America.

Lasting friendships will be formed, bonds of brotherhood will be strengthened and lives will be changed. What are you waiting for?
